Detailed Description
This Advanced Therapies module aims to give you an overview of Advanced Therapies and its application in and around the work place. In particular, this module will cover concepts associated with gene and cell therapy and tissue engineering and the development, production, and regulation of ATMPs.
ATMPs is a dynamic and fast-growing field, and there are a limited amount of ATMPs currently approved for treatment. As more reach the market and the current challenges associated with their development, production and delivery are addressed, our understanding of advanced therapies and the applications of ATMPs will evolve. It is an exciting time for advanced therapies, and we hope that this module widens your understanding of the topic.
This is a self-guided online course, no campus attendance is required. To access it you will be using the University of Kent's Virtual Learning Environment.
This is intended to be studied over 10 weeks part-time: Each week is estimated to need approximately 8 hours of learning. Each section includes activities and multiple choice questions (MCQs) to help you develop your skills, but these are not required for completion of the course.
