Day trip to Bodiam Castle and Rye, including castle admission, bottled water/canned drink and snacks.
Our coach leaves the Canterbury campus at 9am on Sat 15 October. We travel through some of England's most beautiful countryside, known as the Weald of Kent, and arrive at the historic, moated Bodiam Castle before 11am. We spend two hours at the castle, where - as well as entering the castle itself, you can enjoy the grounds and tea-shop. After leaving the castle we head for the pretty, walled coastal town of Rye, first visiting the beach and harbour (involves a short, optional walk, weather permitting) and then stopping at the town itself, allowing plenty of time to explore its historic streets and unusual shops. We leave Rye at the end of the afternoon and, after travelling across part of Kent known as Romney Marsh, we arrive back on the Canterbury campus between 5.30pm and 6pm.
Places are £18, and that includes admission into the castle, bottled water/canned drink and snack items.
