Controversies and problems: the Conquest to the Reformation

Kent's new postgraduate-level courses at its Tonbridge Centre are designed for anyone with the passion and motivation to deveolop their knowledge at an advanced level. These courses do not award academic credits: they can be studied for pleasure, or as preparation and an indication of your suitability for applying for a full-qualification programme.

Tuesdays 7, 14, 21, 28 November
10.30am – 12.30pm

Using four very different but key events in English medieval society: the Conquest, the Murder and Translation of St Thomas, the Peasants’ Revolt and the Henrician Reformation, this course allows students to investigate controversies of interpretation within the historiography. Through guided reading of selected primary sources students will learn postgraduate level research skills.
