Rewilding Britain: Planning, Policy and Practice

Rewilding Britain: Planning, Policy and Practice

Description

Rewilding Britain: Planning, Policy and Practice

Tuesday 12 September, Marlowe Building, University of Kent, Canterbury, Kent, CT2 7NR

Rewilding aims to restore natural ecosystems using keystone species in a way that benefits wildlife and people. Can rewilding really be win-win for wildlife and landowners? What are the practical, political and economic risks? How can it be planned and implemented to maximise the benefits? These questions and more will be tackled during a 1-day conference jointly hosted by DICE and Wildwood Trust.

The programme will comprise presentations and discussions with representatives from a range of stakeholders involved in the rewilding agenda (e.g. statutory agencies, National Parks, private estates and researchers).

Registration is £25 (students), £30 (non-students) for the day, including lunch and refreshments. Book your place using Kent Online shop below.
