Languages As An Extra

Description

Language classes available to current University of Kent students from beginners to degree level. The languages available include French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Catalan, Danish, Ancient Greek and Latin.

Please note that these classes are not for credit, but they will show on your transcript. 

Before proceeding you must get approval from the module convenor to attend one of these modules.

To get in touch with the appropriate module convenor please email lang-office@kent.ac.uk 

and include the following information:
• Student id
• Program of studies
• Wishes to take language module
• Current level of language (European framework/GCSE/A Level etc)
• How many years studying that language?

Languages as an extra (per 15 credit module) £225
Languages as an extra (per 30 credit module) £400

An interdisciplinary workshop organised by the Centre for Late Antique Archaeology, and Centre for Early Medieval and Modern Studies, University of Kent, and the Department of Archaeology, University of Reading.


Thursday 25 May:
Morning session, Economy of Manuscripts
Afternoon session, Writing equipment and writing practice

Friday 26 May:
Morning session, Transmission of Writings/Circulation of Texts
Afternoon session, Calligraphy drop-in session, calligraphy workshop, cathedral archive tour.

Registration fee includes lunch, tea and coffee on both days and participation in either the calligraphy drop-in session and cathedral tour, or the calligraphy workshop.
