Dickens London Walking Tour Friday 3 November

Charles Dickens Museum



This field trip is open to UoK School of English students.
The tour will begin from the forecourt of Charing Cross Railway Station at 11.00am and conclude around 3.30-4pm in Sardinia Street, about 15 mins walk from Charing Cross Station. The tour involves four hours of walking and a visit to the Charles Dickens Museum.


Detailed Description

Trains leave Canterbury West at 9.23 am, direct to London St Pancras, arriving at 10.24am (which involves a Northern line tube connection at St Pancras to Charing Cross). Or, from Canterbury East at 8.48 direct to Victoria arriving at 10.23 am (which involves a Circle/District line tube connection to Embankment and a 4 min walk to Charing Cross). Both routes will get you to Charing Cross Railway station by 11am

The excursion is subsidised by the School of English. Students are asked to pay £10 towards the costs of return rail fare from Canterbury West to Charing Cross and entrance to the Charles Dickens Museum. Please can you make your online payments by 5pm Wednesday 18th October then contact englishresources@kent.ac.uk who will arrange your train ticket booking.
